Fastest 5 mos. of our lives

I truly cannot believe that Blake is 5 months old already. Matt and I were talking about this the other day and just feel like the past 5 months have absolutely flown by--much faster than they did with Sadie and Wyatt. I'm not sure if it's because our day-to-day lives didn't change as much when Blake was born or because he's such a great baby, but for the first time since I became a mother, I'm not ready for this to keep happening. I wish I could push pause on my kids' lives right now......but I don't think that will be happening!

A few changes this month.....he began to get frustrated with simply laying on the floor and rolling around and since he HATES the Bumbo, we pulled out the exersaucer, which he LOVES!!!! He's gotten really good at grabbing things and seems to really enjoy being 'part of the action'. He is even learning to 'walk' in the exersaucer (something I'm really not ready for!)

I had to post the next few pictures....they aren't great pictures but they do a good job of showing just how much Blake adores his big brother. He will belly laugh constantly when Wyatt plays with him...

Do you think this kid is hungry???

I really need to start baby cereal on a more regular basis with him since I know he's ready for it and it waking up earlier and earlier at night (signs that he's not getting enough food anymore to get through the night). But it's so difficult with all that we have going on to bring along the cereal and try and feed him some as Tball, swimming lessons, small group, church, etc.

The poor kid spends many hours in this thing, but look at that smile.....he doesn't seem to mind too much!

One other note....I have always thought he looked more like me and my side of the family (still resembling his brother, however!) But recently I have had several people tell me that he looks like my dad, which I completely agree with. It may be the constant smile on his face (just like my dad) or the oval shaped head or blue eyes, but whatever it is, I'm glad he certainly has my Dad's optimistic and happy personality!
