Update on the car situation

Many of you have asked us what is going on with our car situation and we appreciate that so many of you have been thinking of us. Our first week without a second car was actually not too terrible. The weather was still really nice out and the kids and I were able to be outside a lot. As we were about to enter our 2nd week, friends of ours from church were leaving for vacation in Italy for 2 1/2 weeks and offered us their car while they were out of town. What a blessing that was and a huge answer to prayer! Thanks Brodie and Julie!!
But they decided they would still like to live in Ohio as opposed to Italy, so we had to give their car back earlier this week. We are taking it day by day as that's all we can do. The weather is getting cooler outside, so we have spent much more time inside which does make things more difficult, especially when Matt is often gone from 5:30am until 9pm. Makes for long days for myself especially!
Matt leaves for a conference tomorrow in Naples, FL for the weekend, so the positive side is that at least the kids and I will have a car while he is gone. (Not that we want him to leave, but you've got to see the silver lining, right?) Then he's back here for 3 days and then leaves again for an interview--which means we'll have the car again for 2 days. It's amazing how the little things in life begin to mean so much.
So now that we are really living with one car, I'm sure I'll have more things to post. I've been trying to figure out the bus schedule--not an easy thing to do---and Wyatt asks everyday when we'll get to ride the 'citybus', as he calls it. This is another blessing in all of this--the kids haven't really had any negative reactions to this and are just excited to do things like riding the city bus.
Above all, we are really relying on the Lord to provide, as we know He always has and always will.

I'm glad to have an update - we have been praying for the Lord to provide for you a day at a time. Also - Matt's interview doesn't happen to be in DSM does it???? :) I know - fat chance, however I just thought if it was you should certainly come with and see us!!! Always hopeful - Jen

I'm glad your dealing with your car situation so well! If I was in your shoes I would probably be complaining all the time although I have found recently that I love to just stay at home and not have to go out anywhere, the kids seem to like it too! It's a sign of winter b/c it's such a hassle to do coats, socks, shoes, etc instead of flip-flops and no coats.
Hope your weekend is going well with Matt being gone so much!
