Bubba and Pappy's

A few days after Sadie's birthday, we went to Hudson to celebrate Ellie and Claire's 2nd birthday at their grandparents house, Tom and Laura (aka Bubba and Pappy).

Pappy reading with the kids....both Sadie and Blake love listening to 'storytellers' and Tom's one of the greats!

Wyatt and Charlie and Blake playing...Charlie thinks Wyatt is the coolest and loves getting to spend time with him while Wyatt is equally excited to hang out with Charlie! Fortunately Blake loves both of them and likes getting to be with the big boys!

And of course Sadie loves getting to play mommy to Ellie(here) and Claire

I snapped this picture of the boys in the bedroom playing on the ipad as Bill kept everything under control....

One of the highlights of the party was watching Bill's brother Pete and his dad Tom towing cars up the crazy-steep..tight..curvy..ice-covered driveway. It was entertaining!

Claire (here) and Ellie both got carseats for their baby dolls and Sadie loved showing them how to care for their babies in them!

Blake and Pappy....I think Blake sat there with Pappy for a good hour!

Yes, we were the last to leave the party (of course!) but Matt was out of town and I was so thankful for the adult conversation and interactions! Sadie helped Laura and Bill bathe the girls and then played with them a bit before they went to bed.

Yes, we were finally leaving!! 

What are we gonna do next year when these guys are all in New Zealand????
