Blake's been busy

It's hard to believe that in just 2 days Blake will be 1 year old! Everyone says the first year goes so quickly but I have to say that it seems to go faster with each child. And the past few weeks with Blake have been so much fun. I'm not sure if it's because he's been on an intense round of antibiotics for 21 days to try and keep the ear infections at bay (we have an appt. with an ENT tomorrow) or because he's just a bit older and seems to be learning so much each day. But whatever the reason, we have been having a blast with him.

He absolutely ADORES his big brother (more to come on this in a later post)

..will climb through, over, under anything! By far my strongest kid (he could do a full situp on his own by 8 mos. old, which would usually be great accept that he usually does it when we are trying to change his diaper)

Clapping, playing peek-a-boo, waving bye-bye, repeating sounds

..and the steps! It only took about 3-4 days, but I decided I was done with the gates and was determined to teach him how to do the steps. And boy am I thankful I did because he can go up and down them completely on his own now and he seems to love his newfound confidence in his abilities.

We'll find out soon how tall he is and what his percentages are, but he can now reach anything that is within 6" of the edge of a table and will pull it down.....

I'll have more to post about our little guy on his big day, but I had several pictures I had taken recently and wanted to post them on here. He is now entering what I deem as the 'fun' stage and he has a full team of cheerleaders encouraging him daily on each new task!
