Over Memorial Day Weekend, we headed up to the cabin with the Scribners. It was a chilly weekend, but everyone was a good sport and enjoyed the water.
Wyatt and Titus on the kayaks..they kayaked across the lake one morning over to my in-laws and had a 2nd breakfast..they had already eaten with us and then Papa made them eggs and toast!
Of course, there was also lots of shooting that took place. We keep Sadie's BB gun up there and our neighbors gave Wyatt their old bow and arrow, so these boys were set!
This is intense stuff here!
And although the high was in the mid-60s and the water was in the 50s, we still skied! TJ hadn't skied in 15 years and wasn't sure he'd be able to get up.
And Titus got to try it out for the first time!
And Addi got to slalom for the first time!! Woohoo!
A little time for Twister...
Sadie and Jada had fun with my camera...
A beautiful day....albeit cold!
Matt took the kids on some boat rides and did, what the kids called, 'wicked turns'......similar to doing donuts in a parking lot in the winter time...and they loved it! But apparently it's not great for the boat so I'm not sure he'll be doing it again.
Onyx tried kneeboarding for a bit....it didn't help that it was freezing cold (see everyone wearing sweatshirts?!)
We also celebrated my father-in-law's 65th birthday with several of their friends from the lake. They go way back with many of these people, so it was fun to be able to host them all at our place.
Mrs. Sieber (long-time family friend from my in-laws days at Taylor University and also a fellow Stormy Lake family) and Grammy (Matt's grandma)
Mr. Sieber and Matt
It was fun to have Dixie and all the Scribners as well as Matt's whole family and other friends all together!
Wyatt's first bullseye with the bow!
Gotta love the expression on her brothers' faces
She's a good shot!
We had such a fun weekend, topped off with a hilarious game of "Things" and the Scribner's battery dying on our last day...all things that make for great memories! Hopefully next time they come it'll be warmer out!
