BCS...Flag football version

Last weekend was Wyatt's last flag football game of the season. So for the 'playoffs', the kids got to play their last game in the 'bubble' at Bielenberg (where Wyatt also plays hockey). We have been inside several times but never for a real game of any kind, so the kids were especially excited.

Blake sees no difference between Wyatt's team and himself..he just gets right in to the mix!
"What's the game plan?"

Here are a few picks of one of Wyatt's carries. Sorry they are blurry...I wasn't prepared!
...he's #28 in the far end of the picture
..beat that last tackle and still going...

Waiting to get subbed in
I wish that all of Wyatt's games had been in the dome because Blake would have been the happiest kid. I would usually spend the majority of my time at Wyatt's games chasing Blake, but inside the dome I could just let him run free. He couldn't get out and there wasn't anything he could get in to, so we were both in heaven!!

Not sure what he was doing here, but he walked out on to the field and just laid down!
Wyatt's turn to be QB

And the final handshake...the kids love this part!!
Wyatt had a great 1st flag football season and I was pleasantly surprised. He loves to wrestle with Matt and his friends, but isn't really physical when it comes to sports. However, he really wanted to play and so we said he could try it for a season. And it has made watching the Badger and Packer games even more fun because he now understands the game a bit better. And now onto hockey season....
