I used to go to so many concerts back in the day. It was what I spent the majority of my hard-earned-not-spent-on-school money on! And now I remember why I loved them so much.
We had waited over a year for the U2 concert....it was originally scheduled for last summer but when Bono had back surgery, it was postponed until this summer. We went with our good friends, Andy and Missy Lutz, and had a ball!
Great seats!
My U2-concert-virgin husband....not sure what I was getting him into
The concert was amazing, despite the fact that it poured for about 2/3 of it and there was some serious lightning and thunder all night. The trip home, however, put a bit of a damper on the experience. We left the stadium at 11pm and didn't get home until after 2am......a normally 30min. drive! Needless to say, we were exhausted when all the kids get up at 6:30!The next weekend we went to see Mat Kearney open up for Owl City. But we were only there to see Mat Kearney, which was awesome because the seats were general admission and there were fewer people trying to get up close during the opening act. During his 4th song, he came down in to the crowd and saw Matt and I singing the same song he was singing. He came over to us, put his arm around Matt, and kept singing! It was so great!!!!
