No pictures on this post, as I'm assuming you wouldn't want to see them. But I just wanted to sum up the past several days because it's almost hard to believe everything that has happened.
Friday: Blake got the stomach flu, I felt ill
Saturday: Blake wakes up with pink eye
Sunday: Matt leaves for FL for a conference
Monday: Get ready for Wyatt's birthday the next day, shovel, take kids to swimming lessons, go to Panera for dinner and Blake throws up everywhere (had just gotten our food, by myself with 3 kids), shovel again
Tuesday: Matt gets home at 2am due to flight delays, Blake wakes up with ear infection and two teeth coming in, Wyatt's birthday
Needless to say, it has been crazy and felt like it would never end. I hope we are on the other side of it all! But despite the craziness, I have tried my hardest to choose to look on the positive side...
I have a wonderful husband who I love more and more each day, who works so hard for our family and is great at what he does.
I have 3 (usually) healthy, beautiful kids that I get to spend each and everyday with.
I don't have to work outside our home.
I can walk, run, ski, sled, bike.....do physical activities with my husband and kids!
I have great friends who have helped me out on a daily basis.
I have a great home in a great neighborhood that I love being in.
And someday, my home will be much quieter and I will certainly miss having 3 kids making the noises and messes that currently consume my home. So I will try and soak up each extra cuddle, request for "Mommy, watch this!", and recognize that sometimes the things that seem to suck the energy out of me are things that remind me how blessed I am to be a mom. And I do love being a mom to the three best kids in the world!
