The kids didn't have school on Good Friday, so we had a relaxing morning at home before we went to dye eggs over at the Scribners. My mother-in-law had sent an easter package for the kids, so I let them open it that morning. Of course there was candy inside, but she also sent along these little tins with miniature cities for the kids to set up. They are nice and small and can be brought along anywhere we go, to use when we are waiting at a doctor's office or at a restaurant and the kids love them!
The only enemy these cities have is Blake--so far he has only ripped one of Sadie's buildings, so I think we are doing pretty well! Grammy also sent along a paper bunny that 'rolled' when placed on an incline surface. Blake, however, pulled it apart and found a peanut M&M inside (the mechanism which makes it roll!) and ate it. I guess you can't let candy go to waste!
