It is late at night and I should be preparing for our movers who are coming tomorrow. But I just had to take a moment to quick write about Wyatt before I forget today and get caught up in this move! Each month at church, Wyatt gets a new Bible verse to memorize and at the end of the month, the kids say their verse and get to pick something out of the 'treasure chest'. He LOVES the Sundays when they get their treasure and usually picks out a car or some 'boy toy'. But today, when I picked him up from his class, the first thing he said was, "Where is Sadie?" She of course was wandering around in the hallway and he quickly ran right over to her. He didn't even tell me what it was all about, but he was so excited to see her. He bent over and looked at her and said, "Sadie, look what I got for you?" and handed her a little purple ring. He had taken his turn at the treasure chest to pick something out for his little sister and didn't even get anything for himself. I immediately got tears in my eyes and was so touched by his thoughtfulness and love for his sister. I had always wanted a big brother like that and am so glad that Sadie has that. It's moments like these that make me stop and remember what is really important in life---and with all the craziness that has been going on with preparing for our move and new house, it was just what I needed. The Lord knew I needed to refocus and this was all it took. Boy am I blessed to be Wyatt and Sadie's mother!
