Most of you are probably wondering why on earth we, as proud University of Wisconsin Badger 
fans, would have this picture of an Ohio State flag on our blog. (Oh, and of course it's not Ohio State, but THE Ohio State University.) And it is a bit painful to put it on our blog after this weekend's beating that we suffered at the hands of the Buckeyes. However, we are actually very excited to say that we will be residents of Columbus, OH beginning next summer. Matt was offered an AOFAS (American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society) fellowship at Ohio State and we are so excited! He'll be one of three fellows in their program and it is a 1 year fellowship. It's a huge accomplishment for Matt as AOFAS fellowships are almost always filled by orthopaedic surgeons (I think there have only been a handful of podiatrists selected across the country over the past 20 years). This comes after MUCH praying and seeking God's will in our lives and be willing to do whatever He wanted. And what a blessing this is!

C-BUS, Here we come!!
We would love to hear any insight you might have as to life in Columbus or better yet, how to survive as a Wisconsin Badger fan!

What an exciting blessing. Congrats Matt.
Some advice, hmmm, perhaps you will need to cut ties to Wisconsin, both the badgers and the packers, and join team purple. I think you would be much happier. Yeah, that is some good advice. Congrats Matt! What a fantastic opportunity! One year will go by so quickly and then we will have you back in MN - don't get any crazy ideas about moving anywhere else after the fellowship!! :)

I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! Be careful because you might not want to leave Columbus! When we lived in Louisville, KY and my brother lived in Cleveland we visited Columbus a lot. I LOVED IT! I could seriously live there. Great size city with great shopping, plenty to do, and close to so many other cities to visit. You will have a great time. Way to go Matt. You deserve it!
